Rahul Pomal has been appointed as Country Head – HR at ELANTAS Beck India Limited, a publicly listed entity in India and part of ALTANA AG, the Germany-headquartered global specialty chemicals group. In this strategic leadership role, he will lead the people agenda across manufacturing facilities, R&D, technology, IT, regional sales offices, and corporate functions while partnering with regional and global leadership teams to align talent strategy with long-term business growth. His appointment reflects the organization’s focus on strengthening leadership capability, organizational culture, and workforce transformation across its India operations.
With nearly two decades of experience across diversified industries, Rahul brings strong expertise in HR transformation, talent strategy, organizational development, leadership hiring, employee engagement, and large-scale workforce management. Prior to joining
ELANTAS, he served in senior HR leadership roles at John Deere, where he led HR for engineering, manufacturing and technology domains across India and drove major initiatives around workforce scaling, DEI, capability building, and global HR integration. His tenure also included leading strategic collaborations with NASSCOM and driving multiple award-winning HR and talent initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Rahul held leadership positions at Volkswagen India, Infosys, and Adani Group, where he worked across manufacturing sites, engineering, R&D, IT, technology, GCC, infrastructure, and corporate business environments. Across these organizations, he played a key role in talent management, organizational restructuring, compensation strategy, HR operations, change management, and leadership development initiatives. He started his professional journey in sales and key accounts management in telecom and communications sector, having worked at Idea Cellular, Jio and CollegeFunda Communications, building a diverse foundation across operations, customer engagement, business development, and people management.
Beyond his corporate leadership journey, Rahul is also the Founder of Pomal Social Foundation, an initiative focused on social impact across food, education, healthcare, and community partnerships. With his extensive cross-sector experience and strategic HR leadership capabilities, he is well-positioned to drive ELANTAS Beck India’s next phase of people-centric growth and organizational transformation.
