Chetan Thakur has been elevated to Director – Retail Design & Project at CaratLane – A TATA Product, marking a significant milestone in his leadership journey across retail design, project execution, and large-scale store development. In this expanded leadership role, he will continue driving retail transformation, innovation in store experiences, and project execution strategies across CaratLane’s growing national footprint. His elevation reflects the company’s confidence in his expertise in retail infrastructure, design innovation, and operational excellence.
At CaratLane – A TATA Product, Chetan previously served as National Project Head, where he played a key role in leading large-scale retail project execution and store development initiatives across India. He has been instrumental in strengthening retail design standards, streamlining project coordination, managing vendor ecosystems, and delivering seamless execution aligned with the brand’s rapid expansion strategy.
Prior to joining CaratLane, Chetan served as Deputy General Manager at Reliance Jewels, where he contributed to retail expansion and project management initiatives. Earlier, he spent over a decade with Pepe Jeans London and Pepe Jeans India Ltd. as Head of Project & Design, leading pan-India store design development, BOQ planning,
vendor coordination, mall management engagement, and end-to-end project execution for retail stores nationwide.
His professional journey also includes his role as Store Designer and Project Coordinator at Madison Retail Group, where he built strong foundational expertise in retail design, store planning, project coordination, and execution management. With extensive experience across retail infrastructure and design leadership, Chetan brings a strong blend of creativity, technical expertise, and operational strategy to his new role at CaratLane.
