Rajendra Bhalerao has been appointed as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Central Bank of India. With over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and information security, Rajendra is widely respected in the BFSI sector for his expertise and leadership.
Before joining the Central Bank of India, Rajendra served as the CISO at Scotiabank, SBM Bank (India), and Paytm Payments Bank. His prior roles at NPCI, IndusInd Bank, and WNS further enriched his experience in managing large-scale information security programs, regulatory compliance, and digital resilience.
As he steps into this critical role at one of India’s oldest and most trusted banking institutions, Rajendra will lead the bank’s cyber defense initiatives and information security strategy, ensuring robust protection for digital assets and customer trust in an evolving threat landscape.
