Dr. Satish Mishra has been appointed as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) at Trident Group. With over two decades of leadership in ESG, climate strategy, sustainability governance, and environmental management, Dr. Mishra brings a proven track record of driving transformation across some of India’s most prominent manufacturing and industrial organizations.
In his new role, Dr. Mishra will lead Trident Group’s global sustainability vision, with direct responsibility for steering ESG strategy, stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, investor relations, ESG financing, and sustainable innovation. He will champion the integration of circular economy models, climate action frameworks, and sustainability reporting across Trident’s diverse verticals—including home textiles, paper, yarn, chemicals, and energy.
Before joining Trident, Dr. Mishra served as Associate Vice President – Environment and Sustainability at JSW Steel’s Vijayanagar facility, India’s largest integrated steel plant, where he led key strategic initiatives in environmental governance, compliance, ESG implementation, and the prestigious ResponsibleSteel™ certification. His earlier roles span across leading industrial majors such as Dalmia Cement, JK Lakshmi Cement, Vedanta, ACC, and Ambuja Cements, where he drove enterprise-wide sustainability agendas at scale.
A well-respected voice in the field, Dr. Mishra holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering, and an MBA from IIM Sambalpur. He is also an expert panellist and advisor to various national and international forums and institutions on sustainable environmental initiatives, ESG financing, and emerging climate change strategies.
Dr. Mishra’s appointment reinforces Trident Group’s commitment to building a future-ready, climate-resilient organization aligned with global ESG benchmarks.
