Maligi has joined Umedica Laboratories as Chief Business Officer and President – International Business, bringing with him a stellar track record of over 24 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Based in Mumbai and working closely with Mr. Manish Doshi, Promoter and Managing Director of Umedica Laboratories. Pavan steps into a critical leadership role as Umedica sharpens its global ambitions across regulated and emerging markets.
Throughout his distinguished career, Pavan has led global business development, licensing strategies, and commercial operations across oral dosage, injectables, and dermal formulations. He has held senior roles at organizations such as Inventia Healthcare, Acme Generics, Celon Laboratories, and notably at Alkem Laboratories, where he led international business across the LATAM region as Chairperson and also served as CEO of Pharmacor in Australia.
Pavan’s early journey includes strategic tenures at Panacea Biotec, Glenmark, and Unichem, with his foundational experience starting at Plethico. He spent over seven years at Alkem, driving both emerging and regulated markets before transitioning to leadership roles that shaped his global outlook. His most recent assignments at Inventia and Acme involved portfolio planning, B2B expansion, CDMO services, and licensing partnerships—building influential networks across the generics landscape.
