Abhijit Adkar has taken on a new role as Head – Learning & Development at Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (CIFCL). In this strategic position, Abhijit will be responsible for spearheading people development initiatives and enhancing workforce productivity across all verticals of CIFCL. His mandate includes designing and delivering capability-building programs that align with the company’s growth trajectory and evolving business needs.
Prior to joining Cholamandalam, Abhijit held the role of Head – Functional Training and Productivity at Aditya Birla Capital, where he played a key role in driving training strategy and building a future-ready workforce across sales and support functions. He has also served as National Training Manager at ICICI Bank, where he was instrumental in rolling out pan-India learning programs focused on workforce productivity and customer-centricity.
Abhijit’s career journey started with multiple Sales Leadership roles in BFSI and FMCG across Berger Paints, Citigroup and Barclays Bank, followed by a Product Management role at ICICI Bank. His subsequent transition into HR and L&D space gives him a well-rounded understanding of both frontline sales as well as strategic HR and business management.
With his extensive experience in learning strategy, functional training, and sales leadership across renowned organizations, Abhijit is well-positioned to drive impactful talent development initiatives at CIFCL. His appointment signals the company’s continued focus on nurturing talent and building a future-ready workforce that can adapt and excel in a dynamic financial services environment.
