Shiv Kumar has been appointed as the Head of Brand, Marketing, Communications, and Passenger Experience at Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL), bringing with him over 19 years of expertise in global brand strategy, revenue growth, and digital transformation. In this strategic leadership role, he will be responsible for shaping DIAL’s brand identity and enhancing the travel experience for over 75 million annual passengers, placing the airport in the league of global hubs like Atlanta and Dubai. His focus will be on driving commercial excellence by optimizing every customer touchpoint, strengthening DIAL’s positioning as the definitive “Gateway to India,” and implementing innovative, data-driven engagement strategies to elevate satisfaction scores and boost non-aeronautical revenues.

Before his appointment at DIAL, Shiv served as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Passenger Experience at GMR Airports for the Manohar International Airport, Goa. There, he played a pivotal role in positioning the airport among Skytrax’s Top 100 Global Brands in 2024 and winning the World’s Best Airport Brand award in 2025. His tenure was marked by significant achievements, including a 35% increase in passenger inflow, a 200-fold growth in social media followers, the launch of the world’s first airport art gallery, and an exceptional 4.95 ASQ satisfaction score. His strategic branding, digital innovation, and loyalty program initiatives significantly enhanced both passenger experience and revenue performance.

Shiv’s career journey also includes leading marketing and product management for passenger tyres at MRF Limited, where he delivered 20% market share growth in South West Asia and MENA markets. Earlier, during his 13-year tenure at The Coca-Cola Company, he rose from Brand Manager to Zonal Head of Marketing, spearheading major product launches, category expansions, and integrated marketing campaigns across India. His work included managing high-profile brand ambassadors like Virat Kohli and executing multi-channel campaigns that delivered measurable market growth.

A Harvard Business School executive program graduate in innovation and leadership, Shiv Kumar is widely recognized as a visionary brand architect who combines creativity with commercial acumen. His diverse experience across FMCG, manufacturing, and aviation has consistently transformed brands into industry leaders.
