We’re thrilled to share that Venkatraman Umakanth has been promoted to Chief Business Officer at HireMee, effective April 2025.
Venkat joined the parent organization, Vee Technologies, in 2021 as VP/CTO, and his journey has been a testament to dedication, strategic leadership, and operational excellence. Rising to SVP in 2023, he also took on the additional responsibility of leading HireMee and Meta-i Technologies. Under his leadership, the group has achieved significant growth and earned the prestigious Certified B Corp status.
With over 25 years of experience across NASSCOM—as one of the founding members of the FutureSkills Prime initiative—and IBM, Venkat brings deep business acumen and technology leadership to drive HireMee’s vision forward.
HireMee is an AI-driven talent acquisition platform built on a skills-first approach—empowering fresher, lateral, and internal hiring through automated proctored assessments, psychometric evaluations, and structured interviews. Initially launched as a social enterprise to connect students from Tier II & III cities with recruiters at no cost, HireMee now serves a thriving ecosystem of students, job seekers, institutions, corporates, and recruiters.
Venkat’s new role will strengthen HireMee’s strategic direction and accelerate its mission to bridge the employability gap with technology, innovation, and scalable impact.
