Chandra Gupta has been appointed as Vice President, Information Technology at T-Mobile, bringing with him over two decades of leadership experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, and global program delivery. Known for his consistent top performance and fast-tracked career growth, Gupta has a proven record of steering large-scale, multimillion-dollar projects in BFSI, telecom, and global banking environments. In his new role at T-Mobile, he will leverage his expertise in digital, analytics, mobility, and cloud to drive strategic innovation and operational excellence.

Before joining T-Mobile, Gupta served as Senior Vice President and IT Division Executive at FIS, where he led critical initiatives across technology modernization, global delivery, and digital customer engagement. His tenure at Nippon India Mutual Fund (Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management) as Chief Technology Officer was marked by the successful rollout of multi-year enterprise technology strategies, pioneering mobile and analytics solutions, and advancing infrastructure transformation to virtualization and cloud platforms.

Gupta’s career also includes impactful leadership roles at Barclays Bank Plc, where as Director and Head of Information Technology for India, he managed a £26 million annual IT portfolio and implemented technology programs across retail, corporate, SME, and treasury banking. His strategic contributions extended to strengthening technology risk functions, optimizing infrastructure landscapes, and enhancing operational efficiency. At RBS Global Banking & Markets, he led India Production Services for Lending, Operations, and Financing Technology, establishing a robust IT function and implementing global operating models for production support and quality assurance.

Earlier in his career, Gupta spent nearly a decade at Citi, progressing through multiple technology leadership roles and laying the foundation for his expertise in managing high-performance teams, delivering under pressure, and translating complex business objectives into tangible outcomes. His extensive global exposure across Europe, CIS, Africa, Asia, and North America gives him a unique perspective on technology-driven business transformation.
