Upasana Ratra has been appointed as Head of Talent Acquisition at Orient Electric, bringing with her two decades of extensive experience in strategic recruitment, leadership hiring, diversity & inclusion, and HR transformation across consulting and manufacturing industries. In her new role, she will be responsible for shaping Orient Electric’s talent agenda, strengthening its employer brand, and driving recruitment strategies to support business growth.
Prior to joining Orient Electric, Upasana spent over a decade at Hero MotoCorp, where she most recently served as Head – Talent Acquisition & Diversity & Inclusion. At Hero, she successfully designed and executed talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent, revamped campus hiring programs, and spearheaded large-scale diversity initiatives to build a future-ready workforce. She was also instrumental in creating best-in-class onboarding programs for both campus and lateral joiners, enhancing candidate experience across levels.
Upasana’s career began in recruitment consulting, where she worked with leading executive search firms such as Transearch and Executive Access. In these roles, she specialized in CXO and leadership hiring across industries including manufacturing, real estate, financial services, auto, and FMCG, successfully onboarding senior leaders and shaping organizational leadership pipelines. Her early career with firms such as Catalysts Services and Datawise Consultants gave her rich exposure to middle and senior-level hiring across diverse industries and geographies.
Known for her ability to align talent strategies with evolving business needs, Upasana has consistently led large-scale recruitment transformations and process automation initiatives. Her expertise spans employer branding, diversity and inclusion programs, campus strategy design, and leadership hiring, making her a strong partner to business leaders in building high-performing organizations.
