Sandip Tarate has been promoted to the role of Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Tiefenbacher Laboratories, Hyderabad (AET Labs). In this elevated role, he will spearhead the company’s global mission of making high-quality pharmaceuticals better affordable, better globally available, and better than before.
With over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Sandip has demonstrated exceptional leadership in manufacturing operations, product development, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning. Since joining Tiefenbacher Group, he has played a pivotal role as Chief Operating Officer, where he successfully aligned product development and manufacturing operations while driving operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Prior to his tenure at Tiefenbacher, Sandip held senior leadership positions at USV, Zydus, Wockhardt, and Cipla, where he managed multi-plant operations, led digital transformation initiatives, and delivered regulatory success across global markets including the US and EU. His expertise spans operational excellence, lean manufacturing, quality management, and P&L accountability, making him a proven leader in driving large-scale business impact.
In his new role, Sandip will focus on advancing Tiefenbacher Laboratories’ innovation pipeline, strengthening regulatory compliance, and scaling global operations to meet the growing demand for affordable, high-quality medicines. His leadership is expected to further accelerate the company’s vision of delivering healthcare solutions that are not only accessible but also transformative for patients worldwide.
