In this leadership role, Shalin will oversee regulatory submission strategies across multiple Philips businesses, ensuring robust compliance while aligning with the organization’s global regulatory vision. His appointment reflects Philips’ commitment to strengthening its regulatory excellence in India and driving impactful outcomes in healthcare innovation.
With over 18 years of experience in the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industries, Shalin brings a wealth of expertise in both Regulatory Affairs and Research & Development. His career has spanned diverse geographies, with significant contributions across Europe, where he worked with organizations ranging from dynamic start-ups to established multinational conglomerates. This global exposure equips him with a unique perspective to lead regulatory operations in one of Philips’ key markets.
Shalin’s journey with Philips spans more than five years, during which he held pivotal roles in regulatory leadership. Most recently, he served as the Head of Regulatory Affairs for Diagnostic X-Ray (Global), where he will continue to manage worldwide submission, lifecycle management and compliance strategies while in transition.
Earlier in his career, Shalin built a strong foundation through impactful roles at HemoCue AB, Azoi Inc, ProductLife Group, Optos, and Pfizer, where he managed regulatory approvals, product development, and compliance processes across multiple regions including the US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. His career began in pharmaceuticals with Nestor Pharmaceuticals Ltd, further broadening his understanding of the healthcare landscape.
With his new role, Shalin is poised to play a central part in strengthening Philips’ Regulatory submission and operations framework in India plus Rest of the world, enabling faster access to innovative healthcare solutions while ensuring uncompromised compliance with global standards. His leadership is expected to enhance collaboration, streamline regulatory processes, and drive Philips’ vision of improving lives through meaningful innovation.
