Mahendra Choubey Joins Turner Construction Canada as Country Executive – Data Center Sector, marking a strategic step in strengthening its presence in hyperscale construction delivery and mission-critical infrastructure. With over 18 years of experience across APAC, AMER, and EMEA, Mahendra brings a wealth of expertise in large-scale data center construction, capital project delivery, and portfolio management.
With nearly two decades of experience across APAC, AMER, and EMEA, Mahendra brings both technical depth and strategic vision to mission-critical infrastructure. He has spearheaded over 450 MW of builds and shaped 500 MW+ of campus master plans, guiding projects ranging from $10 million to $250 million in scale. His leadership has consistently focused on execution excellence, sustainability, and enabling global cloud platforms to scale.
His career spans leadership roles at ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (India), where he managed a 200 MW+ portfolio; Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he advanced global colocation strategies; and Microsoft, where he drove hyperscale development across APAC. He has also held senior roles with Nxtra by Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone, Honeywell, and Wipro EcoEnergy.
Beyond execution, Mahendra is recognised as a thought leader in sustainable infrastructure, policy engagement, and strategic partnerships. He was named one of The APAC 50 Future Leaders by Data Economy for his contributions to the global cloud and data infrastructure sector.

In his new role, Mahendra will lead Turner Construction Canada’s data center business, focusing on scaling hyperscale builds, enhancing project governance, and driving sustainable innovation to strengthen Canada’s position in the global data center ecosystem.
