Rahul Ranade has joined Owens Corning (OC) as Product Leader – India, heading Business Development and Strategy initiatives for their Composites Business. where he will be responsible for driving product line strategy, commercialization of new products, and enhancing business profitability. In this pivotal leadership role, Rahul will spearhead the identification and creation of market growth opportunities, while positioning himself as a recognized product knowledge expert across individual product segments.
With over 18 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas and petrochemicals industry, Rahul has built an illustrious career at Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). His journey spans refinery commissioning, turnaround planning, execution of revamp and debottlenecking projects, and key contributions to operational excellence at the Technology Centre of Excellence. Over time, he transitioned into business development and strategy, playing an instrumental role in formulating and executing strategic value propositions across hydrocarbons and petrochemicals.
At Reliance, Rahul served in multiple leadership capacities, including Senior Business Development Manager and Business Development Lead, where he successfully explored new opportunities in composites, developed the unsaturated polyester resin business, and integrated O2C value strategies in petrochemicals. His expertise in both technical and commercial aspects makes him uniquely equipped to deliver impactful results at Owens Corning.
In his new role at Owens Corning, Rahul will focus on leveraging product technology and market trends to address evolving customer needs and deliver differentiated value. Collaborating closely with OC’s Strategic Marketing and Sales teams, he will ensure product innovation and strategic alignment to drive sustainable growth in India. His leadership is set to strengthen Owens Corning’s market presence and expand its influence in the composites and building materials sector.
