Rajesh Kumar has joined Kalpataru Projects International Ltd as the Senior Vice President – Group Procurement & SCM, bringing with him an illustrious career spanning over three decades in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry. In his new role, Rajesh will lead strategic procurement and supply chain management initiatives for technology-led Industrial EPC projects and Process Plants, ensuring that innovation, sustainability, and efficiency remain at the heart of Kalpataru’s operations. His appointment reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its leadership team with seasoned professionals capable of driving large-scale transformation and global competitiveness.
Prior to joining Kalpataru Projects, Rajesh had a distinguished tenure at Larsen & Toubro (L&T) as Head of Supply Chain & Subcontracts Management (Industrial, Irrigation, Infrastructure & Water International). In this capacity, he led procurement strategy and execution for multi-million-dollar EPC projects across India and international markets, optimizing cost structures, strengthening vendor ecosystems, and enabling operational excellence. His leadership at L&T was instrumental in building agile, resilient supply chains that aligned with the evolving demands of complex industrial projects.
An alumnus of Shivaji University and a Mechanical Engineer by qualification, Rajesh holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management and has completed prestigious executive programs in Commercial & Contract Laws (National Law School Bangalore), Senior Management & Business Leadership (IIM Calcutta), Leadership with AI (ISB), Global Leadership (Michigan Ross), and Corporate Directorship (Institute of Directors). He is also a Certified Independent Director from IICA – Ministry of Corporate Affairs. With his vast experience across Industrial, Process, Water, and Oil & Gas sectors, Rajesh Kumar is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping Kalpataru Projects International Ltd’s strategic direction and reinforcing its reputation as a trusted leader in the global EPC space.
