Dimple Bhawsar steps into the position of Director, Product Sales Fixed Income & Alternatives at DekaBank, bringing with her more than 22 years of global experience across sales, funding, investor relations, capital markets, and business development. Known for her strong leadership presence and strategic execution capabilities, she joins the organisation after a distinguished career in multinational financial institutions, where she consistently delivered performance, built high-value relationships, and led critical market initiatives.
Before joining DekaBank, Dimple spent over six years at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), where she held leadership roles spanning business development, derivatives, market intelligence, and funding. In her position as Director for Derivatives & Market Intelligence, she co-managed a €60 billion derivatives portfolio, executed cross-currency swap strategies to reduce volatility, and delivered more than 450 analytical market reports that supported ESM’s bond issuance programmes. She also played a pivotal role in major regulatory reforms and negotiated ISDA/CSA agreements that generated significant savings for the institution.
In her earlier role as Director of Funding & Investor Relations at ESM, Dimple drove global investor engagement across DACH, Europe, and Asia, contributed to major bond issuances, and strengthened the organisation’s market presence. Her work supporting Greece’s Debt Management Office was particularly notable, where she developed a targeted investor relations strategy that played a role in Greece’s successful re-entry into the capital markets.
Dimple’s longest tenure was at Société Générale, where she spent over 11 years in Fixed Income Sales for the DACH region. She led a team of senior sales specialists, produced over €15 million in revenue, and was promoted as the youngest-ever Director at the firm at the age of 30. Her expertise spanned interest rate derivatives, FX swaps, government bonds, inflation-linked products, and structured solutions, while her ability to grow client portfolios and drive cross-business collaboration consistently elevated performance across the organisation.
Her early career at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein laid the foundation for her strengths in risk management and interbank market execution. Managing risk positions for global G20 traders and working with major institutions such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Deutsche Bank enabled her to build a deep understanding of derivatives trading, market structure, and institutional sales.
With her move to DekaBank, Dimple brings a rare combination of analytical depth, commercial acumen, and leadership experience that positions her to make a strong impact in product sales, fixed income, and alternatives. Her focus on empowering teams, building strategic relationships, and delivering measurable results continues to shape the next chapter of her career.
