Pratik Sanghavi has joined Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Co. Ltd. as Zonal Credit Operations Manager – SME, marking a significant addition to the company’s leadership in SME credit operations. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing underwriting for large-ticket SME borrowings, including loan against property, Equipment Financing, and supply chain finance, supporting the organization’s growth ambitions in the SME segment.
In this position, Pratik Sanghavi will focus on strengthening credit frameworks, enhancing underwriting quality, and driving operational efficiencies across the zone. His mandate also includes building a robust and high-quality SME portfolio, aligned with Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Co. Ltd.’s risk management standards and long-term business objectives.
Before this appointment, Pratik Sanghavi spent over eight years at IDFC FIRST Bank, where he held several key leadership roles in credit. Most recently, as Zonal Credit Manager (CODH), he played an instrumental role in setting up the Micro LAP business for the West Zone and successfully scaling the portfolio through structured credit processes and team development.
Earlier in his career, he was associated with ORIX Group and Tata Capital, experiences that further strengthened his expertise in credit underwriting, financial analysis, and team leadership across diverse lending products. These roles enabled him to gain a comprehensive understanding of credit risk and portfolio management within India’s financial services landscape.
