Samarpita Banerjee Appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Greaves Electric Mobility

Samarpita Banerjee has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Greaves Electric Mobility, bringing with her over two decades of extensive global experience in human resources, organizational transformation, and leadership development. Based at the company’s headquarters in Bengaluru, she will spearhead the people agenda at a pivotal phase of growth for the electric mobility player.

In her new role, Samarpita will lead Greaves Electric Mobility’s overall HR strategy and administration, with a strong focus on building scalable and future-ready people practices. Her mandate includes aligning talent and culture initiatives with business goals across manufacturing, technology, and sales functions, while supporting the company’s transformation and IPO readiness. She will report to Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director, as the organization accelerates its mission to deliver sustainable and intelligent mobility solutions.

Prior to joining Greaves Electric Mobility, Samarpita served as Group Human Resources Director and Board Member at Carrier, where she led HR strategy for high-growth digital, engineering, and global business services functions, alongside partnering closely with APAC technology teams. Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles at leading organizations including Wipro, Diageo, Solera, Novozymes, and DealerSocket, building deep expertise across IT, automotive, HVAC, SaaS, and consumer products sectors.

Widely recognized as a people strategist, culture champion, and change leader, Samarpita has led large-scale global transformations, M&A integrations, and hyper-growth initiatives across regions including APAC, Europe, North America, and Australia. She has also actively contributed at the board level, serving as an independent director and advisor to technology startups and non-profit organizations, with a strong focus on inclusive leadership and women-centric career advancement.

Samarpita holds an MBA in Human Resources and a master’s degree in Econometrics, combining analytical rigor with hands-on leadership. As Greaves Electric Mobility continues to scale its multi-location manufacturing footprint and pan-India presence across electric two- and three-wheelers, her appointment underscores the company’s focus on strengthening leadership, culture, and organizational capabilities for the future.
