Shailaja Suvarna elevated to Vice President – Talent Acquisition Operations (TAO) APAC at Citi

Shailaja Suvarna has been promoted to Vice President – Talent Acquisition Operations (TAO) APAC at Citi, marking a significant milestone in her extensive career spanning over two decades in Human Resources Shared Services. Known for her strong expertise in process management and automation, Shailaja’s elevation reflects Citi’s continued focus on strengthening its talent acquisition capabilities across the APAC region.

With more than 20 years of qualitative experience across industries such as insurance and manufacturing, Shailaja has built a reputation for driving operational excellence and streamlining HR functions. Her ability to align people strategy with business goals has enabled organizations to enhance efficiency, improve service delivery, and adopt scalable HR solutions in increasingly complex environments.

Prior to this role, Shailaja held managerial positions at PeopleStrong, where she served as Senior Manager – HR Shared Services, contributing to the optimization of HR processes and service delivery frameworks. She also played a key role at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company as Manager – Shared Services (HR Operations) & Governance, where she focused on governance structures, operational efficiencies, and process standardization.

In her new role at Citi, Shailaja will be responsible for leading the Recruiting Coordinator vertical in Talent Acquisition Operations team across the APAC region, driving strategic initiatives that enhance hiring efficiency, candidate experience, and operational scalability. Her deep domain expertise and proven leadership are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping Citi’s talent strategy and strengthening its position as an employer of choice in the region.
