Vivek Sahai has been appointed designated as AVP – Vehicle Refinish, India Cluster at JSW Dulux Limited (formerly AkzoNobel India Ltd.), where he will lead the company’s Vehicle Refinish business across the India cluster. With more than 28 years of experience in the paints, coatings, and automotive aftermarket industry, he brings extensive expertise in business leadership, P&L management, transformation, Key account & Strategic sales, customer engagement, and OEM relationship management.
Prior to taking on this role, Vivek Sahai served as Business Head – Vehicle Refinishes, South Asia India cluster at AkzoNobel India Limited, where he was responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and leading business transformation initiatives across the region along with implementing structural change footprint basis global management mandate. During his long and distinguished association with AkzoNobel spanning more than two decades, he held several leadership positions including Sales Head – Vehicle Refinish, Bodyshop business – India & Sri Lanka, Strategic Sales and Transformation Manager, National Segment Manager – Vehicle Refinish Premium Business, National Key Account & Strategic Sales Manager, Regional Manager, Business Development Manager, Area Manager, and Sales Executive.
Throughout his tenure at AkzoNobel, Vivek played a pivotal role in managing P&L responsibilities, building high-performing teams, developing leadership pipelines, strengthening relationships with automotive OEMs and dealership networks, and driving strategic growth initiatives across India and neighbouring markets. He successfully led business critical stakeholder relationship management, transformation programs, premium segment expansion strategies, new categories and product launches, and key account management initiatives while consistently delivering strong commercial performance in both B2B and B2C environments ensuring channel programs and engagements.
Before establishing himself as a leader within AkzoNobel, Vivek Sahai began his professional journey with Asian Paints, laying the foundation for a career that would eventually span nearly three decades in the paints and coatings sector. His experience covers the entire value chain of the automotive refinishing industry, including sales, business development, customer service, technical support, strategic partnerships, and market expansion.
In his new role at JSW Dulux Limited, Vivek Sahai is expected to play a critical role in accelerating growth across the Vehicle refinish business, contribute towards new business portfolio development, strengthening customer-centric solutions, enhancing partnerships with automotive stakeholders, and driving innovation within the rapidly evolving automotive aftermarket ecosystem. His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to leveraging experienced industry leadership as it continues to expand its presence in the paints and coatings market.
