Mohamed Yasar Arafath has joined B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology as Deputy Director – Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). In his new role, he will spearhead strategic initiatives focused on online and distance education, academic growth, digital learning ecosystems, industry-academic collaborations, and AI-driven education transformation, supporting the institution’s vision of expanding access to quality higher education.
Bringing more than a decade of experience across higher education, EdTech, and university partnerships, Mohamed has built a strong track record of driving business growth, learner engagement, and digital education initiatives. Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the most recognized names in the global learning and education technology ecosystem, helping institutions and learners leverage technology-enabled education at scale.
Prior to joining B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology Mohamed held key leadership and growth-focused roles at upGrad Study Abroad, Udemy, Coursera, and BYJU’S. Across these organizations, he played an instrumental role in learner acquisition, strategic university collaborations, digital learning expansion, and partnership development. His experience spans working closely with universities, academic institutions, and education stakeholders to create impactful learning opportunities and strengthen educational outcomes.
Over the years, Mohamed has developed deep expertise in online education, academic partnerships, business development, digital transformation, and EdTech innovation.
