Ratnakar Varanasi has been appointed as Head – Executive Education at BITSoM (BIT School of Management). In this leadership role, he will lead the institution’s Executive Education initiatives, driving strategic growth, expanding industry engagement, strengthening executive learning programs, and building impactful partnerships that enhance leadership development for professionals and organisations. His appointment reflects BITSoM’s continued focus on strengthening its executive education ecosystem and delivering world-class learning experiences.
Ratnakar brings over two decades of experience across executive education, higher education, business development, sales leadership, and corporate learning. Prior to joining BITSoM, he served as Country Associate Director at IMD, where he worked closely with organisations on leadership development, executive learning, and business growth initiatives.
Before IMD, Ratnakar spent over eight years at the Indian School of Business (ISB), progressing through multiple leadership roles including Business Unit Head and Vertical Head – Portfolio Programmes & IT/ITES/Media Customised Programmes. During his tenure, he led executive education portfolios, managed customised corporate learning programs, drove marketing and business development initiatives, handled P&L
responsibilities, collaborated with leading organisations on executive learning solutions, and played a significant role in expanding ISB’s executive education offerings.
He developed deep expertise in corporate relations, executive program sales, business development, marketing, client engagement, talent development, and strategic partnerships. His diverse experience across education, consulting, and enterprise engagement positions him well to lead BITSoM’s Executive Education business into its next phase of growth.
