Shri Vijay Singh Rawat has joined Karmayogi Bharat as Senior General Manager – Procurement & Contracts, bringing over 15 years of leadership experience across procurement, strategic sourcing, contract governance, and supply chain transformation. In his new role, he will lead the Procurement & Contracts function, strengthening procurement governance, institutionalizing best practices, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, and supporting technology-enabled public procurement aligned with the Government of India’s vision for digital transformation and capacity building.
Prior to joining Karmayogi Bharat, Vijay served as Assistant Vice President – Procurement & Contracts at the Goods And Services Tax Network (GSTN), where he played a pivotal role in procurement governance, high-value technology sourcing, contract management, procurement policy modernization aligned with GFR 2024, and strategic procurement initiatives supporting one of the world’s largest digital tax ecosystems.
Over the course of his career, Vijay has held leadership positions at the National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI), Airtel Payments Bank, MetLife, HCLTech, and other organizations, contributing to some of India’s most significant Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiatives, including digital payments, taxation, and now digital capacity building. He has also established procurement functions from the ground up, developed procurement policies, implemented supplier governance frameworks, and led large-scale sourcing programs across the government, BFSI, and technology sectors.
A procurement professional with expertise spanning strategic sourcing, procurement governance, contract lifecycle management, vendor management, compliance, and digital procurement transformation, Vijay has managed procurement portfolios exceeding USD 1 billion and is recognized for building governance-led procurement organizations that deliver long-term institutional value. His professional credentials include CPSM, PMP, CPP, CPSS, Professional Diploma in Public Procurement (PDPP), and AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, complemented by multiple national recognitions for procurement leadership and transformation.
With this appointment, Karmayogi Bharat further strengthens its leadership in procurement and contract management as it continues to support the Government of India’s mission of building a future-ready civil service through digital learning and competency-based governance.
