Vishal Upadhyay has been promoted to Vice President – Human Resources at Waaree Energies Ltd., marking a major milestone in his career spanning over 15 years in strategic Human Resources leadership. Having joined Waaree Energies when the company had a workforce of just 100 people, Vishal now leads the overall HR organization and people strategy for a workforce of over 14,000 employees across multiple Gigafactories and corporate offices. As Head of HR, he will align talent capital with global business priorities, driving organizational development, succession planning, and performance management to power the company’s next phase of exponential growth.
Vishal brings extensive expertise in executive talent acquisition, HR transformation, policy formulation, employee engagement, and statutory compliance. A key driver of group-level initiatives, he actively fosters a diversified and inclusive workforce across all units, including head office operations. As part of modernizing the HR function, he is championing end-to-end digitalization, AI integration within HR workflows, agile HR project management, and operational efficiency and optimization to scale HR practices alongside the business.
Prior to his current role at Waaree Energies Ltd., Vishal served as Senior Executive – Human Resources at Filatex India Ltd. His professional journey also includes foundational experience as a Human Resources Trainee at Amul (GCMMF).
With a proven track record across diverse industrial landscapes, Vishal continues to position HR as a core business enabler. In his elevated leadership position at Waaree Energies Ltd., he will steer the organization’s culture, leadership development, and strategic human capital roadmap.
