Ashish Kumar has recently been appointed as the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Jindal Power Limited. With over 18 years of experience, he brings extensive knowledge in HR strategies, organizational development, and talent management across various industries such as power, mining, and metallurgy.
In his new position at Jindal Power, Ashish will play a key role in spearheading the company’s HR initiatives. His focus will be on driving organizational transformation, enhancing employee engagement, and providing strategic HR leadership to support the company’s growth and expansion efforts.
Before joining Jindal Power Limited, Ashish served as the CHRO for Mines (Bauxite & Coal) at Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business. During his tenure, he was responsible for overseeing HR operations, talent development, and leading the Group HRMS Digital Transformation project, which significantly contributed to Vedanta’s operational efficiency and strategic HR initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Ashish held several significant roles at Hindustan Zinc Limited, where he led various technology and HR functions. His contributions included driving innovation, process improvement, and enhancing employee engagement across the organization.
Notable positions he held include Head of Extractive Metallurgy Research & AGM (Technical Services) and Manager of Technology Development, where he played a crucial role in process design, research and development, and quality assurance.
