Rishi Chhabra has taken on the role of Country Manager for Visa India, where he will oversee the company’s operations and strategic initiatives within the country. His leadership will focus on strengthening client relationships and driving Visa’s vision for financial inclusion and digital payment solutions across India.
In his new capacity, Rishi will work closely with cross-functional teams across India and the broader Asia Pacific region to push forward Visa’s objectives. He will report to Sandeep Ghosh, the Group Country Manager for the South Asia cluster, helping to steer Visa’s growth in one of its most crucial markets.
Before stepping into this new role, Rishi was responsible for Visa’s merchant services and acquiring operations for India and South Asia, where he played an integral part in managing key relationships with merchants, acquirers, and co-brands. His extensive experience in financial services and payments includes leadership roles at Fiserv, First Data Corp, PayPal, and several global institutions such as JP Morgan and ABN AMRO.
Rishi holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His expertise and global experience are expected to help Visa continue to innovate and expand its digital payment services in India.
