Mahesh G Nampoothiry has recently taken on a new role as Head – Risk Controls & Review, Fraud Control Unit & Vigilance at IDFC FIRST Bharat Ltd, based in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. With over 25 years of extensive experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Internal Controls, Mahesh brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his new position.
Prior to this appointment, Mahesh served as Executive Vice President – Internal Audit at Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (a 100% subsidiary of IndusInd Bank Ltd.), where he successfully led large teams, implemented strategic audit plans, and drove fraud investigations across the organization. He has also held senior leadership positions at IndusInd Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, showcasing his deep industry knowledge and proven track record of strengthening governance and compliance frameworks.
In his career, Mahesh has been instrumental in shaping robust audit strategies, enhancing regulatory reporting processes, and spearheading fraud control measures.
