Om Prakash Mishra has taken on a new leadership role as President at KP Group, Vadodara, Gujarat. With an illustrious career spanning nearly two decades across steel, pipes, tubes, galvanizing, and infrastructure industries, he brings a wealth of experience in operations, project execution, and strategic leadership. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving operational excellence, project management, sales coordination, business development, and overall strategic growth for the Group.
Before joining KP Group, Om Prakash served as President of Operations at Utkarsh India Limited, Kolkata, where he managed multi-site operations including polymer pipes, transmission towers, galvanized structures, crash barriers, PEB & solar structures, and six galvanizing plants. His leadership played a vital role in streamlining operations, optimizing costs, and strengthening cross-functional coordination across two major units in West Bengal.
Previously, he held senior leadership roles with Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd., Suncity Sheets Pvt. Ltd., and APL Apollo Tubes Ltd., overseeing large-scale operations in stainless steel welded and seamless pipes, tube mills, and cold rolling mills. His global experience includes serving as Operations Head at Tower Aluminium PLC in Nigeria, where he successfully managed end-to-end plant operations and techno-commercial functions. Over the years, he has also contributed to organizations like Manaksia Limited, Andritz Technologies, Electrotherm India, and Bhushan Power & Steel in critical leadership capacities.
Known for his expertise in lean manufacturing, cost optimization, multi-site operations, and total quality management, Om Prakash has consistently driven growth, efficiency, and transformation across industries. His strong techno-commercial acumen, combined with strategic vision, is expected to accelerate KP Group’s expansion and operational capabilities in the years ahead.
