Praveen Singh has taken on the role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Contracts and Commercial at RattanIndia Power Limited, bringing with him over a decade of diverse experience across procurement, contracts, and operations in the energy, aluminium, renewables, and defence sectors. Recognized for his strong business acumen and strategic mindset, Praveen has consistently driven efficiency, value creation, and supplier partnerships throughout his career.
With a professional journey spanning organizations such as JSPL, Adani, JSW, KSK Energy Ventures, and Steag GmbH, Praveen has built deep expertise in procurement and commercial functions. He has led sourcing efforts for large-scale power plants and aluminium smelting complexes, overseeing units of 800 MW, 660 MW, 600 MW, and 300 MW, along with a 360 KTPA aluminium production facility. His strong negotiation skills, supplier network, and ability to deliver cost optimization have positioned him as a trusted leader in the field.
Most recently, Praveen was associated with Aditya Birla MAHAN, Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh), where he managed end-to-end procurement and sourcing responsibilities for CPP and smelter operations in an integrated aluminium smelting complex with a 900 MW power plant. His role included developing and executing purchasing strategies, identifying cost-effective suppliers, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and seamless deliveries.
In his new role at RattanIndia Power Limited, Praveen will be responsible for driving contracts and commercial excellence, strengthening procurement processes, and delivering value-driven strategies aligned with organizational goals. His extensive experience, coupled with his results-oriented approach, makes him a valuable addition to the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its capabilities in the power sector.
