Rajendra Patra Appointed as Head – Brand and Strategic Marketing at Heranba Industries Ltd

Rajendra Patra has been appointed as Head – Brand and Strategic Marketing at Heranba Industries Ltd., marking a key leadership addition as the company sharpens its focus on brand-led growth and market expansion. Based in Mumbai, Rajendra will lead brand building, strategic marketing, and go-to-market (GTM) initiatives aimed at driving sustainable, double-digit growth across Heranba’s agri-input portfolio.

In his new role, Rajendra is responsible for strengthening brand positioning, translating market insights into crop- and region-specific strategies, and building scalable GTM engines that enhance adoption and profitability. With a strong command over P&L ownership, OPEX discipline, and business strategy, he is expected to play a critical role in shaping Heranba’s long-term marketing and growth roadmap.

Rajendra brings over 21 years of rich experience across agri-inputs and agrochemicals, having worked extensively across regional, national, and business unit leadership roles. Prior to joining Heranba Industries, he served as Business Unit Head at Parijat Industries India Pvt. Ltd., where he delivered 48% year-on-year growth, expanded distribution by onboarding 250 channel partners within 11 months, and successfully built new regions such as Odisha and North Bengal, unlocking significant incremental revenues.

Before that, Rajendra spent nearly 14 years at ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd., where he held multiple senior leadership roles including AGM – Marketing East and AGM Sales – West Bengal & Odisha. During his tenure, he drove revenue growth from ₹88 crore to ₹158 crore in two years, managed portfolios exceeding ₹200 crore in gross sales with OPEX as low as 2%, launched and scaled multiple brands, and consistently built high-performing teams with zero attrition.

Known for his ability to blend financial acumen, customer engagement, and operational rigor, Rajendra has also held earlier roles at Sumitomo Chemical India, Hariyali Kisaan Bazaar (DSCL), and Bayer Crop Science, building businesses from the ground up. His appointment comes at a time when Heranba Industries is focused on strengthening brand equity, deepening farmer engagement, and accelerating growth through data-driven and sustainable marketing strategies.
