Katson 2.0 Begins with Leadership Built for What’s Next
Rajesh Kumar Sharma has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Katson Logistics, effective 6th August 2026 — a milestone appointment that signals the company’s commitment to building professional leadership alongside its founding strengths. His joining marks the beginning of Katson 2.0: a deliberate transformation aimed at scaling the organisation into a logistics brand that clients grow with, not just ship with. Rajesh brings with him the operational depth, global exposure, and business acumen to turn that ambition into reality.
Most recently, Rajesh served as Regional Logistics & OM Lead – AMEA at Syngenta, overseeing logistics and operations across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. In this role, he managed highly complex cross-border chemical supply chains across diverse regulatory environments, drove network optimisation and cost efficiency, and led the deployment of agentic and generative AI tools to enhance logistics visibility and decision-making — working ahead of the curve in a domain where AI adoption is still emerging. Before Syngenta, Rajesh spent nearly a decade at AkzoNobel, progressing through four successive leadership roles: Logistics Manager, Regional Logistics Manager – West India, Regional Logistics Development Manager – South Asia, and Regional Control Tower Manager (Logistics) – South Asia Pacific. In this final role, he centralised logistics operations across 11 countries under a unified Control Tower framework, led the end-to-end digitalisation of international freight management using platforms including Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and 4PL solutions, and delivered multimillion-dollar savings through strategic sourcing and network redesign. His contribution during this period was recognised with a Global Executive Committee Award — one of the organisation’s highest distinctions for operational leadership.
Earlier in his career, Rajesh served as Senior Manager – Supply Chain at Quantium Solutions, where he led the transformation of eCommerce logistics operations across India, streamlining the end-to-end value chain and standardising branch and hub operations at scale. Prior to that, he was Manager – Domestic Transport Division at Transworld Group of Companies, where he established the domestic transport vertical and built a strong client base from the ground up. He began his leadership career at Sembcorp, rising from Assistant Manager – Sales to Branch Manager, managing branch operations, transportation services, and key account relationships across Mumbai.
With over two decades of experience spanning eCommerce fulfilment, chemical supply chains, multi-country control tower operations, AI-enabled logistics, and strategic sourcing, Rajesh Kumar Sharma brings a rare combination of global-grade operational rigour and a deep understanding of what it takes to build a logistics business from the
ground up. His appointment as COO is central to Katson’s growth strategy — and a clear signal that the company is building not just for today, but for the decade ahead.
