Suneel Jaiswal has joined Sembcorp Green Infra, a Singapore-based renewable energy company as General Manager – International Procurement. In this strategic role, he will lead procurement initiatives across international markets with a key focus on the Middle East region, supporting Sembcorp’s renewable energy expansion including Solar, Wind, Hybrid System and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in International Market. His appointment underscores Sembcorp’s commitment to expanding its global renewable energy footprint and driving sustainable growth through innovation and operational excellence.
With more than 16 years of leadership experience spanning renewable energy, infrastructure in techno-commercial domains, Suneel is widely regarded as a visionary in renewable energy sector. His contributions have earned him notable recognition, including being named among India’s “TOP TECHNOCRATS IN THE SOLAR INDUSTRY 2024” and featured in “RE LEADERS OF TOMORROW – TOP 40 UNDER 40 (2023)”, reflecting his impact on the evolving energy landscape.
Before joining Sembcorp, Suneel held senior leadership roles in Procurement and Contracts at Adani Green Energy Ltd., Welspun Energy and Orange Renewables (now part of the Greenko Group). At Adani, he played a key role in formulating techno-commercial strategies, executing high-value procurement and managing procurement for domestic as well as global renewable energy projects. His domain expertise encompasses strategic procurement, complex contract negotiations and end-to-end supply chain management across a diverse range of infrastructure sectors—including but not limited to Renewable Energy, Thermal Power, Copper smelting plants, Data Centres, Commodity Hedging (Al & Cu) and Transmission Lines.
Suneel’s efforts have consistently driven operational efficiency, cost savings and long-term value creation, contributing to projects of national and international significance while maintaining the highest industry standards.
A postgraduate from the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun and an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, Suneel combines sharp business acumen with a strong commitment to sustainability. In his new role, he is set to play a pivotal part in advancing Sembcorp’s mission of powering a greener future, leveraging his global expertise to optimize procurement strategies and reinforce renewable energy operations across the Middle East. His leadership is expected to accelerate the energy transition through innovative and sustainable procurement practices.
