Ashish Kumar has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at GMR Group’s Delhi Cargo Business, marking a significant leadership transition for the Airport major. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving Strategic growth, Profitability, value creation and efficiencies across the Value chain.
Ashish Kumar brings with him a wealth of experience in aviation and airport operations, having held key leadership roles at GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd and Delhi International Airport Ltd. Most recently, he served as EVP & Chief Commercial Officer – Aero & Cargo, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening commercial performance, enhancing passenger experience, and driving revenue growth across aero and cargo segments.
Prior to his tenure within the GMR ecosystem, Ashish Kumar held senior positions at Kingfisher Airlines, where he served as as Station Manager. His earlier experience also includes working with Jet Airways as a Duty Manager, where he developed a strong foundation in airline operations and customer service excellence.
With deep expertise in strategic planning, commercial operations, and innovation-led growth, Ashish Kumar is well-positioned to lead GMR Group into its next phase of expansion. His proven track record across leading aviation organizations is expected to further strengthen the group’s leadership in the infrastructure and airport services sector, while driving operational excellence and customer-centric innovation.
