PNB MetLife India Insurance has appointed Sameer Bansal as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2024, pending regulatory approvals. Sameer will succeed Ashish Srivastava, who is now Managing Director for MetLife Inc.’s Global Shared Services team in India.
With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Sameer Bansal joined PNB MetLife in 2007 and has led various distribution channels, including Bancassurance, Agency, Digital, Employee Benefits, and Direct marketing. Previously, he served as Chief Distribution Officer and was a key member of the leadership team.
Lyndon Oliver, Chairman of the Board, remarked, “Sameer is a seasoned leader whose deep industry knowledge will ensure the continued growth of PNB MetLife.”
Sameer will oversee the business growth of MetLife in India, managing 149 branches and operations in over 18,600 locations through bank partnerships.
