The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE: EL) has announced the appointment of Akhil Shrivastava as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Shrivastava will take over from Tracey T. Travis, who has served in the role and will retire on June 30, 2025. In his new position, Shrivastava will report directly to William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman, and Fabrizio Freda, President and CEO.
Shrivastava brings over 25 years of extensive experience in finance and leadership. Since joining The Estée Lauder Companies in 2015, he has held several senior finance roles, including Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller. In this capacity, he oversaw Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and other financial functions, playing a key role in the company’s Profit Recovery and Growth Plan.
His responsibilities as CFO will include overseeing Global Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and New Business Development. Shrivastava will also continue to lead the Global Finance & Strategy organization, focusing on driving sustainable value creation and strategic business objectives.
Before joining The Estée Lauder Companies, Shrivastava worked at Procter & Gamble for 18 years, where he held various finance and leadership roles across multiple regions, including Asia and North America. He holds an engineering degree from Engineering College in Rewa, India, and a Master’s Degree in Finance and Control from Delhi University.
Shrivastava will also serve as a member of several senior management leadership groups, including the Executive Leadership Team, Investment Development Committee, Fiduciary Investment Committee, and Corporate Risk Management Committee. His diverse experience and strategic vision are expected to contribute significantly to the company’s ongoing success and future growth.
