Hemant K. has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group. With over three decades of experience in corporate finance, strategy, and business transformation, Hemant brings a wealth of expertise to his new role as he takes charge of driving financial excellence at one of India’s leading conglomerates.
Throughout his career, Hemant has played a pivotal role in shaping financial strategies and enabling sustainable growth across diverse businesses. Having been with Grasim Industries Limited for more than 24 years in senior leadership roles, including as Senior President and most recently as CFO Designate, he has been instrumental in strengthening financial systems, building robust governance frameworks, and supporting large-scale transformation initiatives. His deep knowledge of corporate taxation, financial reporting, internal audit, and risk management has made him a trusted leader within the organization.
Before joining Grasim Industries, Hemant began his career with Indian Rayon & Industries Limited, where he led marketing finance and logistics. His experience in handling multi-dimensional finance functions provided him with a strong foundation in strategic financial management, which he continued to build upon as he advanced into leadership roles within the Aditya Birla Group.
In his new role as CFO, Hemant will continue to partner with leadership teams to steer Grasim’s growth agenda, optimize capital allocation, and reinforce the company’s position as a leader in its industry.
