Bhavik Dedhia has joined ECL Finance Ltd, a division of Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With a wealth of experience in cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and risk management, Bhavik’s role at ECL Finance is set to enhance the company’s cybersecurity infrastructure as it continues to safeguard sensitive financial operations.
Before ECL Finance, Bhavik served as the CISO at GIC Housing Finance Ltd (GICHFL), where he focused on advancing cybersecurity frameworks and led critical initiatives to strengthen the organization’s security posture. His contributions at GICHFL earned him industry recognition, including the Cybersecurity Leadership Award at the Elets BFSI Gamechanger Summit. Bhavik’s expertise in information security, vendor management, and regulatory adherence has positioned him as a leader in the BFSI sector’s cybersecurity landscape.
Earlier in his career, Bhavik honed his skills as Deputy Manager at BSE India, where he contributed to the development and management of robust security operations. His role encompassed various aspects of cybersecurity, including enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance, providing him with a comprehensive skill set essential for his roles in leadership. His background in managing large-scale security infrastructures has made him a valuable asset in each of his roles.
Bhavik holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar, and a diploma in Computer Engineering from VPM’s Polytechnic. His transition to ECL Finance brings his vast industry knowledge to a new level as he undertakes the responsibility of steering the company’s security initiatives in the face of evolving cyber challenges.
