Bir Singh Bagga Appointed as Chief Operating Officer at BKJ Airports

BKJ Airports, a part of JK Jajoo Ventures, has appointed Bir Singh Bagga as Chief Operating Officer, marking a strategic leadership addition as the company accelerates its next phase of expansion.

With over two decades of experience in aviation and airport operations, Bagga brings deep expertise across ground handling, operational efficiency, safety protocols, and large-scale airport execution. His appointment comes at a pivotal time, as BKJ Airports prepares to scale its network significantly—from 17 airports to 50 airports across India—requiring strong operational leadership and execution rigor.

Prior to joining BKJ Airports, Bagga held key roles across leading aviation organizations including AirAsia Group, Kingfisher Airlines, and Jet Airways. Most recently, he was associated with AirAsia Group, where he managed ground operations and station-level leadership across key locations including Amritsar, Goa, and Visakhapatnam.

Over the years, he has successfully led airport ground handling operations across multiple locations in North India, driving service excellence, process optimization, and team performance in high-pressure, customer-centric environments.

In his new role, Bagga will be responsible for building a robust and scalable operational framework, strengthening safety and service standards, and ensuring seamless execution as BKJ Airports expands its footprint nationwide. His appointment underscores BKJ Airports’ commitment to bringing in seasoned industry leaders to support its vision of building a future-ready, efficient, and high-performing airport operations network in India.
