Abhishek Patel has been appointed as the Director of Business Development – Early Phase at Cliantha Research Limited, effective May 2025. Based in Ahmedabad, Abhishek brings over 16 years of extensive experience in clinical research and business development to his new leadership role.
Before this appointment, Abhishek served as General Manager – Business Development at Cliantha Research for more than six years, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s client base and strengthening its presence in early phase clinical trials. His deep understanding of regulatory environments, combined with strong client engagement skills, has significantly contributed to the company’s continued growth.
Abhishek’s professional journey includes leadership roles at Raptim Research, Veeda Clinical Research, and Cadila Pharmaceuticals, where he held various strategic business development positions. He began his career as a research coordinator and steadily advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, demonstrating consistent performance and a commitment to excellence in clinical services.
A postgraduate in life sciences with further training in clinical research from Cranfield University, Abhishek is known for his strategic mindset, relationship-building abilities, and deep domain expertise in early-phase drug development.
In his new role, Abhishek will lead Cliantha’s early-phase business development initiatives, focusing on global partnerships, key client relationships, and expanding the company’s portfolio in regulated markets. His appointment underscores Cliantha’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team to support ambitious growth goals in the clinical research domain.
