Himadri Mukherjee has been appointed as Senior Vice President – Quality at TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited), taking on leadership responsibility for quality functions across both TAFE and TMTL (TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited). In this new role, Himadri will drive quality transformation through operational excellence, reliability leadership, and customer-centric strategies, contributing to TAFE’s mission of powering India’s agricultural and rural transformation.
With over three decades of rich experience, Himadri has consistently led quality improvements and strategic transformations across top manufacturing brands. Prior to joining TAFE, he served as Senior General Manager and Head – Quality for the Commercial Vehicles Business Unit at Tata Motors. He has also held senior roles at ANAND Group India and Tata Cummins, where he led quality, EHS, and Six Sigma functions, implementing robust systems and building high-performance teams.
Throughout his career, Himadri has been instrumental in setting up quality frameworks, driving down warranty costs, enhancing product reliability, and embedding a culture of proactive quality management. His leadership in designing digital quality tools and frameworks has helped organizations improve efficiency, foster innovation, and achieve long-term sustainability.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur-– did Executive MBA, and a mechanical engineering graduate from Jadavpur University, Himadri brings both strategic vision and deep technical acumen to his role. As he embarks on this new journey at TAFE, he looks forward to advancing excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across two iconic Indian manufacturing brands.
