LT COL (Dr.) Suresh Dharnia CMTF, M.ISRM, IOSH is leading the security function for Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, overseeing enterprise risk mitigation, critical asset protection, technology-driven security transformation, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and operational excellence across the company’s renewable energy portfolio, including solar, wind, BESS, and hybrid assets.
Prior to this expanded leadership responsibility, he served as Head Security at Tata Power. Earlier, he worked as Security, Logistics & SCM SME (Freelance), Operations Manager at United Security Group LLC, Deputy General Manager (Security, Vigilance & Administration) and Deputy General Manager (Security & Vigilance) at Jindal Stainless, Head Security (Operations) – Green Field Project at Tata Steel, Senior Manager & Location Security Head at Wipro, and served for over two decades as Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army.
With extensive experience spanning enterprise security, corporate risk management, logistics, vigilance, crisis management, business continuity, and critical infrastructure protection, he brings deep leadership expertise across the renewable energy, power,
manufacturing, IT, and defence sectors. His leadership is expected to further strengthen Tata Power Renewable Energy’s security and resilience framework as the organization continues to expand its clean energy footprint.
