McCain Foods has appointed Mainak Dhar as the new Managing Director for India. With an extensive background in leadership across various regions and industries, Dhar is poised to steer McCain Foods towards growth and innovation in the Indian market.
Mainak Dhar recently founded “Mentoring by Mainak” in January 2024, an initiative aimed at democratizing mentoring by leveraging his leadership experience and AI to make mentorship accessible globally. The platform has successfully mentored over 1,000 individuals across more than 30 countries.
Before this venture, Dhar was the Vice President & Managing Director for India & South Asia at Kimberly-Clark from September 2020 to December 2023. During his tenure, he led the company through a transformative growth phase, emphasizing digital innovation and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
Dhar has also held prominent positions at General Mills as Region Vice President, Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) and Chief Marketing Officer, Asia, where he managed teams across 23 locations, driving growth in some of the world’s largest markets. Prior to General Mills, he spent nearly 18 years at Procter & Gamble, where he was instrumental in driving business growth across Asia-Pacific in the Health Care and Hair Care sectors.
