N Ramesh Kumar has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of RIR Power Electronics, marking a significant leadership transition for the company. In a parallel development, Ramesh G. Trasi, who has served as the Chief Executive Officer of RIR Power Electronics for over 22 years, will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer, where he will continue to lead the company’s technology and innovation roadmap and support its future growth initiatives.
N Ramesh Kumar brings over 42 years of extensive experience in driving business growth across sales and marketing, business development, and P&L-led business management across multiple product lines and global markets. Known as a strategic leader, he has consistently strengthened market share through focused expansion strategies, new product development, and impactful brand-building initiatives. His appointment is expected to further strengthen RIR Power Electronics’ market positioning and accelerate its long-term business strategy.
Prior to joining RIR Power Electronics, N Ramesh Kumar served as the Global Business Head of Industrial Products and Solutions at CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited. During his tenure, he successfully scaled operations, managed complex product portfolios, and delivered sustained profitability. He was also a member of the CG Power Executive Committee, the highest decision-making body under the Board, where he played a crucial role in shaping business strategy and driving stakeholder engagement with customers, channel partners, business partners, and unions.
Most recently, N Ramesh Kumar served as the Chief Executive Officer at Diffusion Engineers Limited, where he oversaw domestic and international manufacturing plants along with regional sales operations. His leadership experience across global markets, operational excellence, and strategic business management is expected to support RIR Power Electronics in strengthening its operational capabilities and expanding its footprint in the power electronics sector.
