Pankaj Upadhyay has joined Sarjak Continers Lines, part of Saksham Group, as Head – Logistics & Integrated Supply Chain Operations. In this role, he will lead integrated logistics and supply chain operations across customs clearance, trade compliance, transportation, warehousing, CFS operations, multimodal logistics and first-mile to last-mile connectivity across India, with focus on governance driven execution, process integration, and technology-enable logistics transformation. His appointment reflects the company’s focus on strengthening integrated, scalable, technology-enabled, and governance-driven logistics capabilities across the Saksham Group Ecosystem.
Prior to joining Sarjak Container Lines, Pankaj served as Head – Customs Compliance and Cross Border operation at Dawn India, where he led strengthening governance frameworks, operational visibility, process standardisation, thecnology enablement initiatives and cross-border trade operations for pharmaceutical and life sciences
clients. Earlier, he spent nearly eight years with Amazon across multiple leadership roles including Senior Manager – Exim Logistics & Trade Compliance, IN Senior Trade Compliance Program Manager, Trade Compliance Program Manager, and Trade Compliance Manager. During his tenure, he managed large-scale cross-border logistics operations, regulatory governance, customs brokerage, GST implementation, compliance audits, and strategic trade initiatives while contributing towards operational efficiency and risk management intiatives.
With over two decades of professional experience, Pankaj’s career journey spans customs brokerage, shipping, logistics, trade compliance, and integrated supply chain operations. Over the years, he has worked across organizations including Amazon, Dawn India, UTi Worldwide, Broekman Logistics, and The Bombay Shipping Agency, building strong expertise across cross-border operations, customs compliance, logistics governance, and integrated supply chain management.
With extensive experience across logistics, customs compliance, cross-border trade, and integrated supply chain operations, Pankaj’s appointment marks a strategic addition to Sarjak Container Lines as the company continues to strengthens its integrated logistics and supply chain ecosystem across India.
