Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited has appointed Mr. Ravindra Kumar Kundu as the new Managing Director. The decision was made during a Board of Directors meeting, with the appointment set to commence on October 7, 2024, for a term of five years.
Mr. Kundu, who has been with the company for 24 years, previously served as the Executive Director since January 2020. Under his leadership, the company’s Assets Under Management (AUM) saw significant growth, increasing from Rs. 67,000 crores in FY20 to Rs. 1,53,000 crores in FY24. Additionally, the profit before tax surged from Rs. 1,500 crores in FY20 to Rs. 4,500 crores in FY24.
With a total of 36 years of experience in the automobile and financial services industries, Mr. Kundu has held various leadership positions within the company, including roles in credit, collections, and business functions. His educational background includes a Graduate degree in Commerce, a Post Graduate Programme in Management for Senior Executives from the Kellogg School of Management and the Indian School of Business, and an Executive Programme in Global Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
Mr. Kundu’s extensive experience and proven track record in the financial sector are expected to drive further growth and innovation at Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited.
