Sandipan Bhattacharya has been appointed as Associate Vice President at DDEV Plastiks Industries Limited, where he will lead new business development initiatives across BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), renewables, and polymer compounds. Based in Kolkata, Sandipan will focus on expanding the company’s footprint across the Indian sub-continent and international markets, leveraging his deep expertise in market development, strategic sales, and P&L leadership.
Sandipan brings extensive cross-industry experience spanning automotive, energy storage, infrastructure, and specialty chemicals. Prior to joining DDEV Plastiks, he served as Business Head – West Africa at Simba Group, where he held full P&L responsibility for leading brands including Luminous, K-Star, TVS Motors, and Mahindra across the West African region. His role involved steering regional strategy, driving profitability, and managing multi-country operations in a highly dynamic market environment.
Earlier, Sandipan held senior leadership positions at Exide Industries Limited, where he served as National Head – Sales & Marketing (SF & Dynex) and as General Manager & Chief Operations Manager. In these roles, he managed nationwide portfolios across India, Nepal, and Bhutan, overseeing sales, marketing, after-sales operations, and overall P&L performance. His tenure was marked by strong market expansion, operational excellence, and team development across large geographies.
Before Exide, Sandipan spent over seven years with BASF, leading Master Builders Solutions businesses across Eastern India and Western clusters, and driving business development in underground construction and infrastructure projects. His earlier assignments with Atlas Copco, Atlas Copcoand KSB Company further strengthened his technical-commercial acumen and customer-focused leadership approach.
With a proven track record in scaling businesses, managing diverse teams, and shaping market strategies across India, West Africa, Nepal, and Bhutan, Sandipan Bhattacharya’s appointment underscores DDEV Plastiks Industries Limited’s focus on strengthening its renewable energy and polymer solutions portfolio.
