Subhajit Mitra Appointed Human Resources Director at Carrier India

Subhajit Mitra has been appointed as Human Resources Director for Carrier India, marking a significant step in strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its presence across the region. In this role, he will lead both strategic and operational HR priorities, supporting Carrier’s growth across manufacturing, HVACR operations, and its global capability hubs in India.

Subhajit Mitra brings over 15 years of extensive HR leadership experience across global and regional roles at Carrier. Most recently, he served as Human Resources Leader for Carrier’s Global Container Refrigeration business in Singapore, where he played a key role in driving change management, strengthening inclusion, and aligning workforce strategies with evolving business needs. Prior to this, he led the Talent function for the Asia Pacific region, where he partnered closely with leadership teams to drive culture transformation, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.

Earlier in his journey at Carrier, Subhajit Mitra held multiple leadership roles including Director HR for Southeast Asia Pacific and Director HR for Carrier India, where he contributed significantly to business and talent transformation, manufacturing footprint optimization, and organizational integration. His experience spans working across diverse markets and managing complex, multi-dimensional HR ecosystems aligned with business growth.

Before joining Carrier, Subhajit Mitra spent close to a decade with Coca-Cola, where he built a strong foundation in HR across organizational development, culture, and leadership. His experience included managing business HR roles across manufacturing and sales functions, along with leading initiatives in performance management, workforce planning, and employee engagement across India operations.

An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Subhajit Mitra is known for his strong business acumen and forward-looking HR approach. In his new role, he will focus on advancing Carrier India’s talent and culture agenda, enabling the organization to build high-performance teams and drive innovation-led growth in one of its most strategic markets.
