Sumeet Arora has joined Teradata as Chief Product Officer, bringing with him decades of experience in leading product innovation across the technology, AI, and cloud industries. He officially takes charge on April 28, 2025, and will drive Teradata’s global product strategy to strengthen its leadership in data and analytics solutions.
Before joining Teradata, Sumeet Arora worked at ThoughtSpot, Cisco, and CloudBees, where he played major roles in driving product development and business growth. At ThoughtSpot, he served as Chief Development Officer, leading the company’s AI-powered data analytics platform and helping build the SaaS business from the ground up. He also contributed to enterprise-grade innovations in generative AI-powered analytics, scaling user growth and expanding platform capabilities significantly.
At Cisco, Sumeet Arora held leadership positions including Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Service Provider Networking business. He was responsible for driving a turnaround in revenue growth, leading a multi-billion-dollar business transformation from hardware-centric to software-centric models. At CloudBees, he continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors, contributing his expertise in cloud and software development.
With his strong background in building high-velocity innovation engines, scaling SaaS products, and delivering customer-driven solutions, Sumeet Arora is well-positioned to lead Teradata’s next phase of product innovation. His appointment marks an important step in Teradata’s strategy to enhance its offerings in AI, cloud, and enterprise analytics at a global level.
