With more than 22 years of combined experience across talent acquisition and teaching, she brings 18 years of specialized expertise in talent acquisition, having worked across a wide spectrum of industries including Consumer Goods, Consumer Durables, Retail, Manufacturing, Telecom, BPOs, KPOs, and Information Technology.
In her expanded leadership role at Avtar, Swetha Lakshmi continues to play a pivotal role in shaping inclusive talent strategies and strengthening leadership pipelines. Her work closely aligns with Avtar’s mission of advancing workplace inclusion, enabling organizations to build diverse, future-ready talent ecosystems. Through her strategic approach, she has contributed meaningfully to organizational growth while embedding inclusion as a core business priority.
Prior to this promotion, Swetha Lakshmi was serving as Assistant Vice President – Talent Acquisition, where she was responsible for leadership hiring, contingency hiring, and diversity hiring. In her new role, she is heading Talent Solutions, which comprises end-to-end recruitment, second-career hiring, leadership hiring, C-suite hiring, and AI-driven recruitment products.
A strong advocate for gender diversity, Swetha has consistently focused on enabling women’s career progression across Human Resources, Sales, Technology, Marketing, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) functions. She has also led several SEGUE Sessions, career re-entry programs designed to support women returning to the workforce after career breaks, creating sustainable pathways for long-term professional success.
