Swetha Lakshmi Elevated to Vice President – Talent Acquisition at Avtar Leaders in Workplace Culture & Inclusion

Swetha Lakshmi has been promoted from Assistant Vice President – Talent Acquisition to Vice President – Talent Acquisition at Avtar – Leaders in Workplace Culture & Inclusion, marking a significant milestone in a distinguished career spanning over two decades. With more than 22 years of combined experience across talent acquisition and teaching, she brings 18 years of specialized expertise in talent acquisition, having worked across a wide spectrum of industries including Consumer Goods, Consumer Durables, Retail, Manufacturing, Telecom, BPOs, KPOs, and Information Technology.

In her expanded leadership role at Avtar, Swetha Lakshmi continues to play a pivotal role in shaping inclusive talent strategies and strengthening leadership pipelines. Her work closely aligns with Avtar’s mission of advancing workplace inclusion, enabling organizations to build diverse, future-ready talent ecosystems. Through her strategic approach, she has contributed meaningfully to organizational growth while embedding inclusion as a core business priority.

Prior to this promotion, Swetha Lakshmi was serving as Assistant Vice President – Talent Acquisition, where she was responsible for leadership hiring, contingency hiring, and diversity hiring. In her new role, she is heading Talent Solutions, which comprises end-to-end recruitment, second-career hiring, leadership hiring, C-suite hiring, and AI-driven recruitment products.

A strong advocate for gender diversity, Swetha has consistently focused on enabling women’s career progression across Human Resources, Sales, Technology, Marketing, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) functions. She has also led several SEGUE Sessions, career re-entry programs designed to support women returning to the workforce after career breaks, creating sustainable pathways for long-term professional success.

In recognition of her impact in talent acquisition, Swetha Lakshmi has been awarded the IIM Jobs Virtuoso Award, being named among the Top 150 Recruiters in India. Swetha Lakshmi holds an MBA in Human Resources from the University of Madras, underscoring her strong academic grounding in people strategy and organizational development.
