Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) is pleased to announce the appointment of Swetha Rane as Associate Vice President, effective July 2024. With over 27 years of extensive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, Swetha brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her new role.
Swetha’s career has been marked by her proactive approach to procurement excellence and cost savings. Before joining Godrej Industries, she served as the Head of Procurement – South Asia at Archroma, where she managed an annual spend of $325 million across multiple categories. Her leadership at Archroma involved overseeing diverse teams and driving procurement strategies that significantly enhanced operational efficiency.
Prior to Archroma, Swetha held notable positions at Huntsman Corporation, including Strategic Sourcing Head India, where she led direct purchasing and global sourcing initiatives. Her expertise in strategic sourcing, e-procurement, and contract negotiation has consistently delivered impactful results in various high-stakes environments.
Swetha’s new role at Godrej Industries will involve leading sourcing and logistics within the Chemical Division. Her extensive background in procurement and commitment to operational excellence are expected to contribute significantly to the company’s strategic goals.
Swetha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce from the University of Mumbai and is recognized for her exceptional leadership and collaborative approach. Her career reflects a deep commitment to driving procurement excellence and achieving significant cost savings for her organizations.
